Abstract:
Development of restoring force models including typical hysteretic behavior such as strength degradation, stiffness deterioration and pinching effect is the basis and a key problem for aseismic design and seismic performance evaluation of engineering structures. A review on uniaxial-, bidirectional-, and lateral-torsional Bouc-Wen-Baber-Noori (BWBN) models for structural inelastic seismic response analysis is given. The recent progress on application of the BWBN model in identification of model parameters, probabilistic seismic ductility analysis, and inelastic seismic spectra is introduced. Future works on the BWBN models are also discussed.
