Abstract:
Pressure foot is an important measure of landslide prevention and control, which can prevent the further deformation of landslide most quickly and effectively. The design of cross-section of pressure foot and its equivalent volume calculation are the key difficulties in pressure foot engineering. The residual sliding force of sliding body of landslide is thusly calculated as the designed anti-sliding force of pressure foot. The main design parameters of cross-section include the width of the top packway, the top elevation of pressure foot, the ratio of pressure slope and the bottom position of loading. For circular sliding, the formula for calculating the equivalent volume of pressure foot is derived. Based on the formula proposed, the design method for the parameters of cross-section of pressure foot is put forward by considering the stability of landslide mass above pressure foot, the limitation of the ratio of pressure slope and, the loading space at the toe of landslide, and by taking the minimum volume as the design goal. The method proposed is applied to the design of pressure foot of a typical circular sliding slope to provide theoretical and practical methods for landslide prevention and control in similar engineering.
