Abstract:
The construction of wind turbines in a complex terrain is prone to a high slope one, which may seriously affect the power generation and fatigue life of the turbines. Based on the Consistent Discretizing Random Flow Generation (CDRFG) method to generate turbulent inlet at the atmospheric boundary layer, a complex terrain wind farm in Chongqing City was used to reproduce the turbulent wind field distribution in the high-slope complex terrain, and the accuracy of the large eddy simulation results was verified upon laser wind measurement radar and wind measurement tower data. The differences of turbulent wind field at the turbine site under the high-slope terrain of three different turbine platform excavations are compared and analyzed, and several indices are proposed to assess the impact of wind turbine platform excavation. Moreover, the impact of the high-slope terrain on the power generation efficiency and safety of the turbine is analyzed in depth. The study provides a scientific guarantee for the construction of wind turbine platforms in complex terrains.
