Abstract:
An accelerated editing method for structural multi-axial random load spectrum with phase relationship preservation is proposed. Based on the theory of equivalent synthesis of multi-axial random load spectrum, the multi-axial load spectrum is firstly synthesized into a uniaxial equivalent load spectrum. Then, the wavelet transformation is conducted to the equivalent synthesized uniaxial random load spectrum to obtain the cumulative power spectral density that features the energy distribution and damage distribution of the load spectrum. The damage fragments of the equivalent synthesized uniaxial load spectrum are identified through using the envelope damage fragment identification method. And a half-sine waveform is employed to connect the identified damage fragments. Finally, the deviation of parameters such as the damage preservation, statistical (root mean square and kurtosis coefficient) and power spectrum density are applied as the judgment basis for editing the load spectrum so that the final edited load spectrum had the same effect as the original load spectrum. The relevant parameters of the load spectrum before and after editing are compared, and the durability simulation is conducted to the wheel hub with the load spectrum before and after editing loaded. The results show that the method of accelerated editing of the multi-axial stochastic load spectrum proposed can shorten the time of the load spectrum effectively. And the loading effects of the shortened edited load spectrum are basically the same as the load spectrum before editing.
