Abstract:
Corrosion leads to the deterioration of fracture performance of in-service steel structures. The ductile fracture criterion of corroded steel plates is the basis for the fracture performance evaluation of corroded steel structures. According to the ductile fracture mechanism of corroded steel plates, the ductile fracture criterion of corroded steel plates was established in this paper, considering the hole initiation model and the hole deformation model. The fracture criterion was presented in a three-dimensional space, and the parametric analysis of ductile fracture criterion of corroded steel plates was conducted. The fracture criterion was verified by the results of morphology scanning and tensile tests of corroded steel plates. The results show that the fracture criterion proposed in this paper can describe the relationship between the fracture strain and corrosion states of corroded steel plates.
