Abstract:
Steel reinforced high strength and high performance concrete (SRHSHPC) composite structure has large integral stiffness and high load-bearing capacity, as well as good endurance and excellent construction of concrete. In addition, the encased steel can meliorate the brittleness of concrete failure in SRHSHPC composite structures. A specimen of SRHSHPC frame with two-bay and three-story is tested under the cyclic load provided by the MTS loading system. During which, the crack propogation and the failure features of the structural members are observed. According to the test result, the loading-displacement hysteretic curves of the SRHSHPC frame are obtained, and the lateral resistance capacity, deformation feature, rigidity and energy-dissipating characteristic are quantitatively given. Moreover, the degradations of the bearing capacity and rigidity are also analyzed. As a result, good seismic behaviors of SRHSHP composite frame are verified.
