Abstract:
The corrugated steel web has been widely applied in composite structures for its particular mechanical behaviors. In this paper, experimental study was taken on the new style composite structure of a prestressed concrete bridge plate sustained by the abreast steel cantilever beams. According to the characteristic of the corrugated steel web and the basic theories of composite beam, limited bearing capacity formulas were deduced and good agreement was obtained between the theoretical analysis and the experimental result. Through the geometric parameter analysis by spatial finite element method, the optimization design parameters for practical engineering were summarized.
