Abstract:
The second moment of first order method(JC method)recommended in Unified Standard for Reliability Design of Building Structures(GB 50068-2001)is applied to analyze the reliability of concrete-filled tubular steel stub columns. It can be concluded that the reliability indexes increase with the increasing strength grade of concrete, reduce with the increase of strength of steel, steel ratio, and casing hoop steel coefficient.Material of steel, load combinations and specific value of loads etc.also influence the reliability index to a certain extent. The results fit Unified Standard for Reliability Design of Building Structures well with the separate coefficient suggested by this paper.
