Abstract:
In this paper, the spline finite point method for analysis of laminated compsite plates and shells is presented. The computational schemes of static problems, thermal effects, stability problems and dynamic problems are established. This method is based on cubic B-spline functions, a higher-order shear deformation theory and a varitional principle. The dissected compatible problems are avoided because spline partition is used. It is shown that the method is effective and accurate for analysis of laminated composite plates and shells.
