Abstract:
In this paper, a method is presented for analysing the nonlinear dynamic response of R/C frame-wall structure tinder a strong earthquake motion. Based on the assumphon that the bending stickness of injured member is in a parabolic distribution, a nonlinear element stirness matrix is derived, considering the influence of shear deformation of the member itself. The classical stickness method and the Gaussian elimination method are used to form the matrix of transient drift-resisting stickness. Two new unconditionally stable integrate schemes suggested by the authors are used to compute nonlinear seismic response of R/C frame-wall structures.
