Abstract: On the basis of Hoff. s theory of sandwich plates and the simplification of that theory by Haichang Hu and Chuntu Liu, a general form of analytic solution to bending problem for rectangular sandwich plates is presented in this paper. Using this general form of solution, the bending problem for sandwich rectangular plates with various ordinary boundary conditions can be solved effectively. Thereby a format for solving bending problem analytically can be obtained.
