Abstract:
In order to investigate the aseismic performance of fabricated integral RC columns with precast external shells and cast-in-place core concrete, in this paper, the precast shells and two new-type of fabricated assembly RC columns and one parallel RC column are fabricated, and aseismic tests of the columns are carried out. Based on the tests, the failure process and failure modes of the columns are studied. Besides, the hysteria curves of load-deflection, the strain developments of main bars and hoop steels are compared. Also the energy dissipations and aseismic performance are investigated. It can be concluded that the new-type of fabricated assembly RC columns have good integral and aseismic performances as the same as the general RC columns. The results of this paper can be referred for the design of the new-type of fabricated integral RC columns.
