Abstract: In this paper, to begin with, it is given that the axisymmetrical large deflection equation of shallow spherical shell with variable thickness under uniformly distributed pressure. It is linearized by the method of consecutive loading. The linear differential equations can besolved by the method of spline collocation. The characteritic curve is given in the paper.
