Abstract:
In this paper, a method for analyzing a new type hyperbolic paraboloid guyed tower is studied. The structural analysis considers the nonlinear character of guy lines, settlement of supports, thermal stresses and the axial and torsional deformation of the tower. The matrix displacement method and iteration method are used in the calculation. To meet the needs of engineering, the general computer program has been finished. The calculating method and its computer program were used in the structural analysis of Huabei Electrical Power Communication Tower in Beijing.
