Abstract
The elevated pile bridge is greatly affected by the earthquake, especially in the liquefiable ground. A 1:14.44 scale model shaking table test was carried out based on the prototype of Shengli bridge which collapsed in the 1976 Tangshan earthquake. Through continuous white noise signal, the change of pile natural frequency is obtained, and the collapse mechanism of elevated pile bridge in liquefiable ground is studied. The results shows that the shaking table test can reproduce the liquefaction macroscopic phenomenon well. With the deepening of liquefaction depth, the natural frequency of pile decreases continuously, which leads to the increase of the placement of pile cap, resulting in destruction or even collapse of bridge.
