Abstract
A fiber reinforced polymer(FRP) bridge deck is an innovated structural element applied to bridge engineering recently. The behavior of simple supported pultruded FRP bridge deck is studied through a static loading test and a finite element analysis. The deflection and the distribution of strain of the whole model and the local area of the loaded section are analyzed. And the result provides a basis for the design and application of a FRP bridge deck.
