NUMERICAL ANALYSIS AND SIMULATION OF PIEZOELECTRIC MULTILAYERED SMART BEAMS

  • Based on the classic piezoelectric theory,finite element formulations are established using the Hamilton principle.Utilizing the Ansys Parametric Design Langauge(APDL),a five-layer piezoelectric beam is successfully simulated by the 4-node plane piezoelectric element.During the analysis,the influence on the beam's actuator and sensor,which are caused by the geometric sizes and the voltages of the structure,are investigated.And the deformation states of the beam with different boundary conditions are also presented for comparision.Some valuable results are obtained and expected to be useful for reference in the design of multilayered smart structures.
