  • In this paper, an analytical model of train-track-subsoil is established. The rail is simulated as an Euler-Bernoulli beam resting on Winkler foundation in the vertical plane, and the load on the subsoil excited by single axle is derived by considering the influences of wheel-rail contact. The dynamic load of the whole train on the subsoil is obtained by means of superposition. On the basis of this model, the vibration influence of running train on a nearby high-rise building is studied by finite element analysis. The vibration characteristics of different floors of the high-rise building with different distance to the railway track and at different train speeds are obtained. The train-induced structural vibrations increase with the increase of floor level and the rise of train speed, but decrease with the distance of the building to the railway track.
