Abstract
The dynamic characteristic analysis of interval intelligent truss structures is presented. Considering the interval variation of physical parameters of structural materials, geometric dimensions of active bars and passive bars simultaneously, the structural stiffness matrix and mass matrix are constructed using interval factor method. From the Rayleigh quotient of structural vibration, the computation expression in terms of interval variables of structural characteristic is obtained on the basis of interval operation principles. The influence of structural parameters of interval intelligent truss on structural dynamic characteristics is inspected by an engineering example and some significant conclusions are drawn.
