Abstract
Palms Together Dagoba in Famen temple is characterized with ‘inclined towers’, ‘coupling structures’ and ‘cantilever’ and so on. The construction of the project is very difficult, especially the construction of the super-weight and super-high-lever cantilever structure. If the structural members are fabricated and erected according to the structural design configuration (SDC) in the construction process, it may lead to a considerable deviation between the structural construction-completed configuration and the SDC. Therefore, a finite element model of a full process construction simulation analysis from the main structure is carried out to ensure the security of the construction. A full process of construction simulation analysis is made to draw the displacement curve of keys in order to guarantee the structure security of the construction process, and recommendations on strengthening the partial structure and setting up the temporary connection truss between the palm and its backside at 79-84 meters high. The scene survey team monitors the internal force and deformation distribution locked in the structure, and analyzes the causes for the difference in elevation between theoretic values and tested values. It is proved that the full process construction simulation analysis is necessary and the corresponding measures performed are feasible and reasonable.
