DIRECT DISPLACEMENT-BASED DESIGN FOR BUILDINGS WITH PASSIVE ENERGY DISSIPATION DEVICES

  • A simple method for calculating pushover curves of asymmetric structure with displacement- dissipative devices is presented. The calculated progress of this method is carried out throughout decomposing the shaped structure to translation and torsion ones. The pushover curves of asymmetric structure with displacement-dissipative devices are formed by integrating the two curves. Numerical example result calculated by simple method was compared with that obtained by software Sap2000. The comparison shows that the simple method can provide an approving procession for engineering analysis.
