Abstract
Based on the data obtained from full-scale experiment and the dynamic fracture toughness of X70 steel deduced from the small scale impact test, the dynamic propagation process of gas pipelines is simulated with FEM by adopting the deceleration mechanism and node force release technology, and the relationship between dynamic fracture parameters and crack propagation velocity is investigated.
