Abstract
The linear metro system is a new type of urban rail transit system driven by linear induction motor (LIM), supported and oriented by wheels. A vertical vehicle-track coupling model is developed according to the system characteristics. Simulation program was coded based on the model. The dynamic response characteristics of vehicle and track system and the variation law of LIM air gap under deterministic irregularities are analyzed.
