Abstract
The deployable upside-down umbrella membrane structure is a new tensioned cable-membrane structure.It is different from the existing fixed cable-membrane structure.It has the characteristics of novel style,flexibility and convenience.Static analysis principle of deployable upside-down umbrella membrane structures was investigated using nonlinear finite element method.With an example,the static mechanical properties of this type of structure are analyzed.Numerical simulation was conducted on the response of the structure under constant,pre-stress,wind and snow loadings.Rules such as how stress and displacement change under loadings are analyzed.The characteristics and advantages of the structure are obtained compared with the available fixed membrane structures.In the end,conclusions about deployable upside-down umbrella membrane structure under loads are given.
