MICROSTRUCTURE EFFECT ON ELASTIC PROPERTIES OF COMPOSITES

Based on the asymptotic homogenization, the periodic boundary conditions for the unit cell of composites are established using the ANSYS parametric design. The unit cell is studied using finite element method and the effective properties of composites are obtained. The microstructure effecton elastic properties of composites is examined and compared with experimental results and other results. Finally, The effective moduli and Poisson's ratiofor different fiber orientations are analyzed.
