Abstract
The axisymmetric propagating problem of a penny-shaped crack in composite material is studied using complex function method. The general representations of analytical solutions with arbitrary index of self-similarity are deduced for axisymmetric dynamic fracture problems. The problems are transformed into Riemann-Hilbert problems and closed form solutions are obtained simply. The solutions of arbitrarily complex problems can be attained on the basis of superposition of the available solutions.
