PURSUIT METHOD FOR SEARCHING CRITICAL FLUTTER WIND VELOCITY OF FLAT PLATES

  • Based on the flutter theory of flat plate,a new optimization model concerning twin undetermined parameters is proposed for determining the critical flutter wind velocity of flat plate involving 8 flutter derivatives.The new pursuit method,which is of stochastic ergodicity and feedback performance,is developed for acquiring the optimum solution rapidly.An example shows that the pursuit method is valid for attaining satisfactory precision with convenience on the basis of the optimization model,and proves to be a new effective approach for the calculation of flutter parameters of flat plate.By means of the superior robustness of the pursuit method,the nomograms of the critical flutter reduced wind velocity and the equivalent frequency of flat plate can be plotted conveniently.
