A STUDY OF MODEL-FREQUENCY BEHAVIOR OF CORE-WALL SUSPENSION STRUCTURES

  • Theoretical and shaking table test studies of the dynamic behavior of a core-wall suspension structures are performed. Formulas are given and a program Hangsys is developed using Matlab. Experimental results are obtained using sine wave scan and vibration exciter on shaking table. It is shown that the frequencies and modes are in satisfactory agreement between the analytical and experimental results. The first frequency of the suspension structure is much lower and the structure has better aseismic performance.
