STOCHASTIC WIND FIELD SIMULATION AND COUPLING WIND-INDUCED RESPONSE STUDY OF MEMBRANE STRUCTURES

  • A time domain calculation method is developed for buffeting response predictions of membrane structures by synthesizing the stochastic wind field. Auto-regressive moving average (ARMA) model is presented for synthesizing the stochastic wind field on membrane structures. Nonlinear dynamic equilibrium equations of membrane structures under turbulent wind loads are derived by Wilson-θ integral and Newton-Raphson method. The coupling effect between the structure body and the wind flow can be considered. Buffeting responses in time domain and the corresponding statistics are given. The influence of some parameters on buffeting responses is studied, then the characteristics of buffeting responses are obtained.
