Abstract
Based on the wave equations of elastic solid and ideal fluid, theoretical formulas are derived for determining the refraction and reflection coefficients due to SV wave incidence from elastic half-space to the solid-fluid interface. With the formulas, the effects of the elastic modulus and density of the elastic medium, the incident angle and frequency of the incident SV waves, and the bulk and density of the fluid on dynamic pressures in the fluid are analyzed by numerical examples.
