  • A calculation method for flexible supporting system with large displacements and deformations is developed so as to determine the tangent stiffness and internal stress vector. The formulation is established for a '2D-bar'element and a '2D-beam'element. A program is developed and two typical flexible supporting system models are studied. The results lay down the basis for further research work.
