INVESTIGATION OF HELMET COMFORT

A helmet comfort study is carried out from the viewport of ergonomics. Some mechanical factors which affect helmet comfort are analyzed and objective methods are brought forward. Special novel devices are developed for the measure of correlative parameters. By the helmet-body model, shock absorbing characteristics of suspension system and body response are studied. In addition, based on fuzzy mathematical theory, a subjective method is put forward to evaluate helmet comfort and a test is conducted to verify the method.
