APPLICATIONS OF ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS IN WIND SPEED ESTIMATION FROM SHORT-TERM RECORDS

  • It is important to determine the load in wind resistance design, and it is difficult to choose the probability model and its statistical characteristics of short-term records. In this paper, artificial neural network (ANN) is adopted for design wind speed estimation from short-term records to offset the shortage of samples. Examples are provided to show the has high accuracy of the method.
