EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS OF TWO-STAGE DAMAGE DIAGNOSIS ON A BENCHMARK MODEL STRUCTURE

  • In this paper,a two-stage structural damage diagnosis method is proposed.A benchmark problem proposed by the International Association for Structural Control and the American Society of Civil Engineers(IASC-ASCE)Task Group on Structural Health Monitoring is presented,and data from hammer-impact and ambient-vibration tests are analyzed.The damage locations and extent for different cases are estimated.It is shown that even under the influences of modeling error,measurement noises,mass and stiffness uncertainties etc.,the damage diagnosis results are also satisfactory.
