Abstract

A general solution for transversely isotropic foundation in the image field is obtained. The Love's displacement function is modified and the Hankel integration transform is employed in the solution. With the inverse Hankel integration transform, the solution of stress and displacement for half-space foundation under several common loads, such as circular uniformly distributed load, concentrated load and rigid plate load, is obtained. Numerical results are provided.
