A FEM MODEL FOR INFINITE MEDIA WAVE PROBLEMS

This paper presents a new artificial boundary element formula for unbounded media wave problems, which is derived from semi-analytical one-side wave equation. The numerical stability may be controlled for both the inner and boundary points. A reasonable spurious parameter of artificial boundary is also proposed, which lays down the base for FEM numerical simulation. The SH numerical example shows that this new artificial boundary element has a multi-directional transmitting property.
