Abstract

A general solution of differential equation for buckling displatement function of orthotropic rectangular thin plate is obtained in this paper.It can be used to solve the stability problem of rectangular plate with arbitrary boundaries. As an example, a square plate with two adjacent edges simply supported and other two free is studied.
