Abstract
In this paper, the equivalent line-spring model is employed to study the dynamic stability of a rotating cracked shaft. An example is provided to validate the method. Numerical results demonstrate that the model shows high precision, applicability and simplicity. The effects of crack depth, crack location on dynamic unstable regions of the system are discussed and compared with previous data.
