Abstract
In current design code of curtain walls the problems of stress and displacement evaluation of point-supporting glass curtain wall have not been settled. Based on the theory of elastical plates and shells, the behavior of glass plates is studied and a simple method is proposed. It is shown that the results are in good agreement with finite element solution and experimental data. It is believed that the present method provides a basis for revising the design code.
