Abstract
Optimal topology design of continua with stress and shape constraints is studied in this paper. The modified full stress criterion is used to obtain the optimal topology under stress constraints. Some elements are fixed in order to satisfy the shape conditions. The proposed method is applied to frame structure design. Numerical results demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the method.
