NATURAL FREQUENCIES OF CIRCULAR ANNULAR PLATES OF POLAR ORTHOTROPY AND VARIABLE THICKNESS

The natural frequencies of the circular annular plates of polar orthotropy and variable thickness are studied by the finite element method. Three node annular elements of variable thickness are used. The stiffness matrices and mass matrices of the annular elements are obtained by combining analytical and numerical methods. It is shown that the results obtained by present method are very accurate.
