Abstract
An analytical method that is analogous to the method of characteristics (MOC) is suggested to study frequency spectrum characteristics with dispersive wave effect and dissipation energy of liquid-filled pipes. Various mechanisms of flow-stricture interaction (FSI) are taken into account in this method. This paper highlights analogies between analyses in the time and frequency domains. Analgytical solutions can be directly found in consideration of dispersive and dissipative sources by using the method suggested herein. A working example is outlined to illustrate its applications and electiveness.
