FUNDAMENTAL CHARACTERISTICS STUDY OF MULTIPLE TUNED MASS DAMPER(WTMD) IN CONTROL OF STRUCTURE VIBRATION

The Side tuned mass damper (STMD) has been used more often in control of structure vibration,but its controllable frequency range is relatively narrow. The multiple tuned mass damper (MTMD) consists of a group of STMD, the frequencies of STMD being distributed around the frequency of controlled structure .The MTMD can overcome the disadvantage of narrow frequency range of STMD. This paper addresses the fundamental parameters of MTMD.
