LOCAL EFFECT MODIFICATION OF BEAM ELEMENT UNDER ARBITRARY EXCITATION

In this paper, the local effect modification formulation of beam element under arbitrary excitation is presented. By analyzing dynamic response of structure under different excitations, it is found that more accurate results are obtained when local effect is considered. In dynamic analysis of large-scale complicated structures, the computational model is greatly simplified by considering local effect. Moreover, the accuracy of results is also enhanced.
