  • The global bifurcation and chaotic behaviour of the well-known Mises Truss are investigated by computer simulation in this paper. The results show that the truss exhibits periodic and aperiodic behaviour for certain values of the amplitude and frequency of the harmonic excitation. Chaos is sensitive to initial conditions and parameters.
