WIND-INDUCED BACKGROUND RESPONSES OF HIGH-RISE BUILDINGS

An analysis model for the wind-induced background responses of tall buildings is discussed. Firstly, the formulas for the wind-induced background responses are derived, and on which base the essence and the applicable conditions of the traditional procedures are pointed out.Then, some numerical examples are given. The resultS show that the traditional procedures will lead to some unfavorable background response estimations.
