A NEW TRIANGULAR GENERALIZED CONFORMING ELEMENT FOR THIN THICK PLATES

In this paper, a new simple method considering the influence of shearing deformation in plate bending problem is proposed. According to this method and several generalized conforming conditions, a new triangular element with only 9-D.O.F. for both thin and thick plates is constructed. Numerical examples show that the element is effective for a large range of thickness span ratio from very thin plate to thick plate.
