EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION AND NONLINEAR ANALYSIS OF RC COLUMNS UNDER AXIAL LOAD AND DIAGONAL BENDING

According to the experimental results of 18 RC diagonal flexcural-compression members and the nonlinear complete analyses of 98 models, the effect of various parameters,such as the horizontal loading angle α, the axial loading ratio, the stirrup and the reinforcing arrangement of RC columns, on the earthquake-resistant behavior is investigated in this paper,and the tortional deformations of obliquely loaded RC columns are also discussed.
