BOUNDARY COLLOCATION METHOD FOR PLATE RESTING ON A TWO-PARAMETER ELASTIC MEDIUM

The boundary collocation method is presented for analyzing plates resting on a two-parameter elastic medium. This is based on a semi-analytical and semi-discretizing method. Since the proposed displacement function already satisfies the governing differential e-quation. only the plate boundary conditions need co be considered, and they can be satisfied approximately by the boundary collocation method. Numerical examples demonstrate that the proposed method gives satisfactory results and has a number of advantages when compared with other methods.
