DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTIC AND NONLINEAR STATIC RESPONSE FOR A VERTICAL DEEP OCEAN PIPE WITH FLEXIBLE JOINTS

Connection between the segments of deep ocean pipe is not completely rigid . A physical model of flexible joint is introduced and the governing equation of total pipe system with flexible joints is developed in this paper. The effects of flexible joints of dynamic characteristic and static geometric nonlinear response of vertical deep ocean pipe are studied. It is helpful for controlling and improving dynamic responses of pipe.
